Christina A. Varghese, Esq. is the Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Department of Rutherford Mulhall.

Christina was admitted to the Florida Bar on April 30, 2001, Florida. She is also admitted into the U.S. District Court, Southern, Middle and Northern Districts.

Christina graduated from the University of Florida with a BA, cum laude in 1997, and from the University of Florida College of Law in 2000.

Christina is on committees for the Florida Bar (Member Outreach Committee) and the American Bar Association Equal Employment Opportunities (Committee Liaison to the CLE Committee).

Christina is a member of several organizations, including the following: the Florida Bar (Equal Employment Opportunity Section); the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section, Business Law Section, Employment Rights and Responsibilities Employer/ Management Committee); Broward County Bar Association; the Federal Bar Association; Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association; Florida Association of Women Lawyers; and South Asian Bar Association.

Christina has extensive experience in consulting and representing businesses from different industries in all employment-related and civil litigation matters. For example, she has and continues to consult staffing firms, churches, hazardous waste management companies, health care offices, pre-schools, daycares, and restaurants in all employment-related and civil litigation matters. She has defended businesses against Fair Labor Standards Act claims and charges brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other state and local agencies. She has defended franchisees in commercial litigation. She has consulted executives and health care professionals in compensation and non-compete agreements. She has negotiated severance agreements on behalf of high-level executives.
